HTC’s ChaCha Facebook phone renamed to ChaChaCha in Spain

In Spain, “chacha” is often used as a term of derision, so HTC decided to rebrand its new handset and call it ChaChaCha there (yup, like the Latin American dance / music style). I’m not sure if adding one more Cha can be called rebranding, but anyway.

Just like in the UK and other European markets, in Spain the HTC ChaCha(Cha) should be released in the second quarter of the year. It will run Android 2.4, featuring a full QWERTY keyboard, a dedicated Facebook button, 2.6 inch HVGA touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, GPS, 5MP photo camera, VGA camera for video calling, 600MHz processor, and MicroSD card support.
